The 2020 NHL Winter Classic is an upcoming outdoor regular season National Hockey League (NHL) game, part of the Winter Classic series that is scheduled for January 1, 2020. The game will feature the Nashville Predators at the Dallas Stars at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. This will be the first NHL outdoor game for both teams.

The league announced on January 1, 2019 that the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas would be the site of the game, with the Dallas Stars as the host team.The league then announced on January 25, 2019 that the Nashville Predators would be the visiting team.

The Cotton Bowl previously hosted the Cotton Bowl Classic, a college bowl game traditionally held on New Year's Day, until that game moved to AT&T Stadium in 2010. Since then, the Cotton Bowl has been used for college football special events (the State Fair Classic, Red River Showdown and First Responder Bowl); the Winter Classic continues a tradition of playing a major sporting event at the stadium on New Year's Day.

On April 23, 2019, the day tickets went on sale to the general public, the event officially sold out, becoming the second fastest Winter Classic in history to sellout.
